“Heights by great [wo]men reached and kept were not obtained by sudden flight but, while their companions slept, they were toiling upward in the night.” Longfellow
Welcome to my little online website. I am a doctor of computer science in beautiful Maryland. My research explores security & privacy in socio-technical systems. Apart from being an amazing researcher, i’m also a mummy, a card carrying member of a library, and an avid blogger and life documenter.
Technology affects how we interact and react to technology and each other. In my dissertation I’ve argued for more social-centric approach to technology that accounts for secure practices in physicians’ offices and childcares.
Life is just too much [fill in with your own adjective] without the opportunity to share it with others. I’ve tried to write about my experiences as a mummy in graduate school and what it is like as a woman in computer science. Who knows what else I’ll discuss next.
Pretty much I came out of my mummy’s tummy with a book in hand. I read and collect classic sci-fi and fantasy, and spend a good amount of time reading those amazing female authors out there... or really whatever is wiggled in front of me.
